Since its inception on the April 28th of April, 1973, the Chamber of Commerce of St-Jean-of-Matha as worked on the promotion of its members, as well as the commercial, cultural and social development of the village. Year after year, the Chamber of Commerce is constantly evolving to fit the needs of its members. It is always growing, always offering more services and support.

For those of you who still wonder what the Chamber of Commerce of St-Jean-of-Matha does. It is an association of engaged citizens who volunteer their time, effrot, funds and creativity in order to promote and to develop the commercial and economic collective of the community. All of this while protecting the civic, social and economic welfare of the region as well as ensuring the sustainable development of its resources. Basically, the Chamber of Commerce acts on the individual and collective goals of the territory.

Il also functions as an association of mutual aid, rendereing direct or collective services to its membership. Like any public body, its function is to defend and promote the interests of its members and the community to the three levels of Government.

Your association belongs to the larger Chamber of Commerce of Quebec which includes nearly 225 Chambers of Commerce representing 61 000 members from every possible sphere of economic activity, as well as some 6 000 companies which are direct members.
